CM (Form 5 Sc, 1976) now resides in KL with his family. "Si Tiaw Mo", as he has long been nicknamed, studied in NZ and has been in business for many years. He now claims to be "semi-retired", a state that I'm sure most of us still in the rat race envy him for. "Then" shot was from mid-70s during his school days with the Red Cross. "Now" is a recent shot from early April 2009, when we had a wonderful mini-reunion in KL.

CCN (Form 5 Sc, 1976), or rather Dr CCN now, is a senior executive with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) based in Manila, Philippines. A quick google of his name would reveal his active involvement in ADB's assistance and development efforts in Afghanistan, India, Nepal and other developing countries. "Then" shows CCN in 1985 as a postgraduate student at Newcastle University in Australia. The "Now" shot was taken in early April 2009 in Washington DC.

Our next old friend featured is RZ. Once a short, skinny chap sitting at the back of the Form 5Sc class of 1976, he has since "grown" significantly. Now tall and lanky (and stylishly botak), this Petronas executive jests about being under-nourished in his school days. Again I don't have a very old photo of Roney, but the one I'm going to use as "Then" came from a reunion in 1994. "Now" is more recent, from an early April 2009 mini-reunion.

Well folks, that's it for another rendition of "Then & Now". As always, I appeal to all those who haven't sent me photos of yourselves to do so quickly, so that we can continue this series of posts.

Gosh, definitely won't have recognised these chaps if meet them on the street !!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi...James
ReplyDeleteAre you sure that was RZ photo from the reunion in 1994. That looks more like Mark Chin to me.
Regards
John
Hmmm, is that right? Someone told me it was RZ some time ago, but I can't be sure now. The person does have some similar features ... Can anyone who was there shed light? Maybe RZ himself ;-)
ReplyDeleteWAAAAAAAAAAAH, DR CHONG CHI NAI ! IMPRESSIVE, MY FRIEND ! DOING WELL !
ReplyDeleteSi Tiaw Mo, please send Website jaga one of your photos when young, la! That Ad Astra pix is pathetic.
ReplyDeleteSi Tiaw Mo's full name is Cyril Moh Mee Kai - as I remember it.
ReplyDeleteAwarded the Meritorous Service Medal by Red Cross Society. Wonder where he keep the medal all these years or if he still has it.
Mainly for outstanding mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, I've no doubt ... he he he
ReplyDeleteIt's about time those comments from various anonymous contributors reviewed their names instead of hiding behind it. If you are not sure how to do it, simply select from the drop down menu in Select profile and select Name/URL. You only need to put your name in the box and click on Post comment. Or are you worry that GL may "sue" your ass when you made some fallacious comments on someone.LOL
ReplyDeleteThe blurry smudge reamins as CM's "then" pic.
ReplyDeleteNo worries, Website Jaga will soon replace it with a clearer one. That much I am sure.
Anonymous.
Hello! I see Website Jaga HAS updated with a teenage CM photo. Cool!
ReplyDeleteAnonymous April 19, 2009 12.08 AM.
ReplyDeleteDidn't i tell you so on April 18 2009 9.37 PM???
Website Jaga sure has considerable resources despite claiming them to be limited. So beware, 1 day he might just put up some pics of a scandulous nature of someone. Haha.
Naaah, I won't do that ... in fact, most of the near-scandals are being created by you guys yourselves in the various comments & feedback :-)
ReplyDeleteHonestly, most of the new pictures I get now have been contributed by one of you guys/gals using this website. Thank you for that & keep them coming if you are having fun reconnecting here.
John Lee, Sir
ReplyDeletespot on; thats me(Ron The One) the photo taken during the Reunion 94 at Hilton Kch. Web Jaga, be assured, you 'cut out' the right guy, the right One. Will be sending you a better version on good time.
John Lee, i was looking high and low for your **lls in the Mr Muscle photos but could not; I was wondering whether muscle developed around those areas as well. Ah maybe as SV Mathai used to say during Biology classes "..the chicken was caponised...and/or the scrot*m contracted...".
on a serious note since when did you migrate across the Penines from Grimsby to H'field? I recalled you were in Grimsby when we met at the Corner Shop along Khoo Hang Yeang Street umpteen years ago. I remember the shot putt thingy and trust that it left no visible trace. And I guess you are breaking new grounds in Huddersfield town with the Council. To be honest with Web jaga i just found out about this thread a few minutes ago and feel the need to correct your doubt on the photos.regards..RZ
Roney, terima kasih for validating my memory. I remembered it was you, as I was at that reunion too. Phew, not senile yet thank goodness!!!
