Another Form 5Sc class of 1976

Here's another photographic gem ... St Teresa's School, Form 5Sc class of 1976.

Take a close look. Who can recognise? Do you know where the ladies are now? Have you been in touch with anyone?

Form 5Sc, St Teresa's School, 1976

At the request of some of you - obviously those with failing eyesight - I've given this photo the same treatment of expanding into left, middle & right sections. This will hopefully allow you to see the faces better, and hopefully jog those fading memories.

If you'd like a clearer view of the entire photo, you'll need to download the file onto your PC, then view it in a larger format.

Enjoy ...

  1. Helloooo ... where did you get this, Tuan Website Jaga?

  2. Wow..I am sure some of you "active hunters" then will be able to name most of them. Correct?
I recall LC, JK, KCK,GL, HBC, JL, NL,BC,CBV,and many others.......very involved in the activities.

BTW anyone know the where about of Wilson Chao? He was active too!

  3. I believe Tuan Website Jaga's other/better half is somewhere in the photo. Reward offered to anyone who can identify her.

  4. Front Row, with glasses, next to the Teacher!!!
Now, please send me your REWARD!

  5. Hello CLK, long time no comment? Thought u went AWOL again :-)

    ReplyDelete
  6. WONDERFUL PHOTO. GREAT FIND, TUAN WEBSITE JAGA !!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. WE ALSO WANT PHOTO OF THE OTHER CLASSES - ESPECIALLY ST TERESA FORM 5 SCI (1977). HAVE SPECIAL INTEREST LAH ! GOT OR NOT?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Mrs JK also in photo, and so is Mrs RL and i think got some more Mrs ... can you identify? CLK is disqualified from answering as he has privileged info. Anyway we will get to CLK's interests later . Ha ha ha!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Ya, I heard that JY, JK and RL were like the 3 Musketeers meeting the 3 Charlie's Angels. All for one and one for all. Hahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Yeah, I would also like photos of St Teresa Form 5 (1978) all 3 streams. Are we being to demanding, Tuan Website Jaga?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Tuan Jaga's other half is the specs one next to the teacher? No wonder the photo is posted on the site. Clear conflict of interest, if you ask me ... haha

She looks very sweet and innocent. You going to introduce her to us, Tuan Jaga?

    ReplyDelete
  12. wow, very clear girl photo from STS as compared to the boy photos from SJS.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Oh oh, I think I opened Pandora's Box !!!

Sorry guys, unless some of YOU contribute more photos (ask your sisters, girl cousins, spouses, old flames?) of St Teresa classes or members, I have more or less exhausted my very limited collection.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Girls obviously know how to develop photos better and also how to keep photos in better condition over time than boys.

Hi tuan website jaga - maybe we should ask people to go find the old Looking Glass magazine from 1976 and put in the relevant class photos. Good idea?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hey, Website Jaga. Why are we still getting comments from anonymous(es) instead of revealling their names. Common guys, surely you do not want to talk or exchange information with nameless people. Btw, nice photo and more from other classes please (not that I can recognise them at all!!!). Also contributions from before and after photos too please. I think Website Jaga can "kick" it off.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Sure he can. He's got the 'before' and 'after' photos of the girl wearing specs sitting next to the teacher ... LOL

    ReplyDelete
  17. John, I agree with you that participants should include our names, but I don't have any control whether they actually will or not. I guess we just have to continue reminding them.

As for your "before & after" suggestion, it should actually be "then and now". "Before & after" sounds like the individual is going thru some extreme makeover or something :-(

I don't think I'll embark on a "then & now" series for the girls - too many of them, and too few that we are actually familiar with. However, I will be encouraging people to submit their family photos soon for a new series of posts. There may be a couple of implicit "then & now" for some of the girls, if you look carefully :-)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hello
That is my class! Are girls allowed to post comments or it is secret men business only?
    SP

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hey, SP, we been waiting for a girl to show up here for a long time. You are most welcome to post any number of comments you want. You know St Joe, lah. Boy's school. We get mighty excited anytime a girl turns up. LOL.

Pls use your name. No need to be anonymous, lah.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hello, everyone is most welcome to post ! Just take some of the guys' comments with a pinch of salt. Boys will be boys.

    ReplyDelete
  21. This is Shau Pey. I enjoyed the content.

  22. Top row:

    ReplyDelete
  23. Georgie boy - if you can get me that certain Marian class photo, I'll be sure to publish it too ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hahaha, Jimmy lad. I doubt it.

SP, you enjoyed the contents, so go tell all your friends about it. And ask them to let us know when they visit. No need to be shy, lah. We not 18 anymore. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  25. But we wish we were! Glad you're enjoying the contents of this blog and feel free to contribute more words or photos. The last time I met one of your classmates was in Dec '08. Khim aka Mrs. Kuo, 2nd row. 1st right

    ReplyDelete
  26. Shau Pey, you may be interested in another photo with you & some of your friends. You can find it in one of the March postings, entitled "Snapshot from the Seventies - a St Joe-St Teresa Outing". Maybe you can remind us where it was taken. Some say Santubong, some Bako, some still Giam.

  27. Wow, it is amazing that after 33 YEARS, this photo can still generate so much interest among the 'never grow old' boys. Watch out Girls, looks like they haven't given up on the chase yet. You have been warned!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Mind your blood pressure, guys !! ha ha !!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I really envied some of you guys then, having so
much fun and adventure - partying, camping and
God knows what else with some of the beauties
across the street. How come nobody invited me to
    tag along?:(

    ReplyDelete
  30. Maybe we should be doing a St Joe-St Teresa Class of 1976 Reunion instead of just the guys?

Anon 11:54AM, this time you are definitely invited to participate fully, not just tag along.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The joint reunion idea is good but you need someone from St Teresa to organise and invite the girls. You willing to volunteer, Shau Pey?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Great idea George. Venue? I suggest romantic Bako National Park. I remember the joint 'picnic' trip to Bako when one of the beauties was bitten by a scorpion, yes a SCORPION on the leg and an opportunist (nope, I wouldn't name him. Phew , he says) jumped at the chance to 'bite' her again and claim it was first aid!!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Nope. Changed my mind. The beauty's identity has to be protected but the the bugger needs to be named and shamed. Clue: he is still lurking around and active on this website. Let's bring him to justice even after 33 years.

    ReplyDelete
  34. You can't do that, Anon. By saying he's lurking and active here on this website, the finger could be pointed at anyone of us who bravely write without anonymity.

I unfortunately missed that Bako trip so I can say that I was not that chap. But you gotta give that guy credit for his 'bravery' in using the age-old shaolin technique of 'sucking out the poison' from the wound [I presume that was what you meant when you said he administered another bite as first aid. I propose we give him a certificate of appreciation [at the reunion dinner] for rising above and beyond the call of duty in saving that beautiful damsel in distress.

So tell us who he is [and who you are too] so we can honour him here on this site. Maybe some of our budding poet can even write a poem about him and his heroic deed.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Btw, Anon 4.01pm, what 'romantic Bako'? We all fifty, man - even that beauty you saw in Bako in 1976 is, unfortunately, also 50. There's not going to be any stroll along the beach 'for old time's sake' ... hehehehe. Any stroll would be in the company of your wife, her hubby and all your kids running and screaming around. LOL.

A quiet dinner in a restaurant, a couple of speeches, a glass or 3 of wine, is more appropriate for us old folks. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  36. hey, I was there at Bako too. I agree with george. I thought john lee did a heroic job. many of others didn't know what to do in the situation. well done, john.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Ah ... so it was John and someone else remembers. I guess the sight of it must be quite memorable. I agree that many others did not know what to do but seeing John in action, wished they had thought of it too. LOL.

Now, who is that lovely lass who was saved by John's .... er ... ahem.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hey, guys
I know I was there on that trip to Bako but I cannot recollect that incident. Can Anon. 6:24 reveal yourself and give us the account of that day, please. I really do not want to take the heroics of that day from someone else. And I would also like to know who was that damsel too. Btw, Shau Pey (Audrey) what's your email and do contribute to our blogs. Where are you now and what are you doing, family, etc? I heard once from Cheng Yi but still awaiting for her to respond. She was saying that you girls had a get-together and she would send me some photos. And for the rest of the Anons, please reveal your names!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. What a pity that John is claiming memory loss. I was hoping he could tell us what he did, how he did it, what it was like, etc. John, how could you possibly forget a thing like that? If I were that damsel, I would feel grievously insulted. ROTFLMAO.

    ReplyDelete
  40. LOL, ROTFL, ROTFLMAO ... wow, our friend George is really into the new lingo. very hip for a 50 y.o. he he he.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I was there too. I think we will have to wait for the beauty to come forward herself. The 4 grown-ups who were supposed to look after us spent the whole time playing Mahjong and probably didn't even notice the scorpion incident. I would be happy to contribute to a medal to be presented by the Beauty to the Beast if the reunion were to ever happen.
Hey John, maybe we should meet halfway, perhaps in Birmingham, one fine day? You can then update me on your traditional resuscitation techniques over a few drinks and food.
George, What does ROTFLMAO stand for? Excuse my ignorance.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Rolling on the floor laughing my ass off, James.

    ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hi...JK

Yes, why not. I know you are quite familar with Birmingham so I will let you name the place to meet. I have only been to Birmingham once and that was on a train to Stoke On Trent and I had to come off the main station to a connecting one at another station. Here's another one, JK:

ROFLAPMP - Rolling On the Floor Laughing And Peeing my Pants

    ReplyDelete
  44. Philip, they're still making fun of you!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Then sue their pants off, George. You have to earn your red wine! lol

    ReplyDelete
  46. I hear from reliable sources that the ladies from St Teresa Form 5 1976 also have an ongoing initiative to link up with each other. If any of them have found this website, pls do say hello to everyone. Don't be shy.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Can someone - perhaps one of the ladies - help to name all the faces in this picture ?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Is the girl standing on Lee Kien's right hand side Alice Leong or something? I remember I have a friend who was very fond of her.......

    ReplyDelete
  49. CLK - there was a song videoclip of "Living Next Door to Alice" on one of the other posts. Could this be why it is posted up? I am getting some understanding now ...

    ReplyDelete
  50. CLK she is Leong Sai Moi. We have lost contact and i am trying to reconnect.Perhaps your friend knows how to contact her?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Website Jaga i will supply the names when i get home cos i dont have the list of names with me right now

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hey Lee Kien, you're supposed to be on holiday. What u doing on the web? No good nightlife in Sydney or wherever you are? Remember to round up any SJS and STS 76 alumni while you're there ... And oh, thanks for the precious MB pencil :)

  60. ...a warm HELLO to all you guys...

this is a fantastic blog and your mr.webjaga has done a great job, together with all the rest of the team of contributors

...an even warmer HELLO to all you girls..

i know there must be a bunch of you girls out there who, like me, have been visitors to this blog albeit only as 'backbenchers' cos we don't want to invade the "boys' club" or 'cramp their style'...i mean it in a good way..

but i guess, as we girls don't have our own blog (as yet), we will have to park 'ourselves and our comments' here for the time being..until such time as when the guys hint to us to act otherwise???
any offers for the ms webjaga post?
    cindy? lee kien?
it was good to meet up this morning..
hope you have arrived safely in melb, sophia..

i think i speak for all us girls when i say that we have enjoyed you guys' virtual banter..so far

  61. No problemo girls, ladies, n datins. Share share ma, what we have we give and what you have you give lor, friend friend ma. When you girls have your own blog ho, you think we boys won't 'invade' into the blog meh? Suggestion, try asking Voon Kan Lien to be the WJ for you girls?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Dear WJ!!! I need your HELP!

Our dear classmate Judy will be visiting KL from 7-18 December 2009.The Gan family will be here while their daughter Heidi will be representing Malaysia in the coming SEA Games in Laos.

We had lost touch since we last met in London way back in the 1980's.

By sheer coincidence..our sisters (Judy's and mine) found out they were both from Kuching blabla. Her sis Mary gave Siew Kien Judy's e-mail and we re-connected a few months ago.

If you remember, Leo commented that CSKG was also looking for Judy.I gave Judy CSKG's e-mail and i beleive the families met in Perth last week!! So you see the power of your blog!!!

Anyway, i am organising a dinner on Tuesday 8 December 2009 8pm to welcome the Gans in KL.

Can you do a feature? and help me publicise this gathering and extend this invitation to all the people who know Judy and hubby Seng?

All are invited TOO..including those who know me!

Leo is already making arrangements to meet Seng right Leo???

    ReplyDelete
  63. Apologies LK, but my policy is not to feature such upcoming gathering announcements in a separate posting unless the event is directly related to the St Joe Class of 76. I've already received several such requests, and it would take too much time and effort to post for every one of them.

Still you have ALREADY made the announcement thru your comment above, and you can add further detail if you wish. You may also leverage on the emails available on the blog for further dissemination.

    Hope for your undertanding.

    ReplyDelete
  69. OMG!! OMG!!! Norbert,

Under our STS class 1976 list, Annie's name is listed as uncontactable. Aiyoh friend, where have you been hiding her? Hahaha!! Joke only!!

Can you please e-mail me @ chenleekien@prupartner.com.my her contacts please?
