Secret Loves of Fifth Formers

This is certainly a topic you asked for. I don't think there's any need to explain what this post is about ... and frankly I don't have a clue where the discussion might go ... after all I'm just the Website Jaga ;-)

Good natured teasing is fine, and my only caution is not to be defamatory, rude or insensitive about causing real embarassment to anyone. Remember that we now have some ladies regularly reading this blog. I hope I won't have to exercise my editorial rights and delete any offensive posts.

Beyond that, go for it, boys ...

  1. Right guys, I will be the first to declare my past infatuations and the so call "puppy love" in my teen years at school. Here goes (as far as I can recall, not 100% with the year)
    1. Primary 3 or 4 - sexy teacher, drives a sport car (she took me to the dentist in her car!!!). Cannot recall her name, might be Ms Tai
    2. Form 1 - another sexy teacher. Cannot recall her name as well (damn!!)
    3. Form 3 or 4 - Diana Ho, Ms Tan and one of the girls from St Teresa (I know her name but I am not telling). She was one of the more mature ones.
Form 4 or 5 - There a few girls over this period. Two from St Teresa, one from St Bernadette and four from St Mary. I knew a few girls who were quite forward in their behaviour but I was weak. I recall there was one whom I had to break off our relationship due to me going away for my studies. I sincerely apologise for my actions. I can only recollect these few and I am sure I must have missed out others too but for now this is my bit. No names mentioed but someone may be able to add 2 & 2 to make 6. HaHahaha.

  2. LOL, John's first post went straight into my Junk Email folder in Outlook. The subject title is just too provocative - the Outlook filter probably thought this was spam from some porn site.

Gotta say it seems to me that JL's been around a bit, right from his pre-puberty years! And was it Mrs Anne Lin that you're referring to who was our Form 1 or 2 teacher? She was hot and maybe that's why she kept having one baby after another. (I hope this is not too offensive to anyone).

  3. I remember Anne Lin well. She with the milky white complexion. She who could silence young boys and wild animals with one glance. She who could get any number of boys to gladly carry her books. Swooooooon ...

  4. DO CRUSHES COUNT? THERE WERE MANY GIRLS WHO I HAD WHAT I CALL "KNOWING RELATIONSHIPS" WITH ..... I KNEW THEM, THEY DIDN'T KNOW ME

    ReplyDelete
  5. Anon 11:19AM, your "knowing relationships" is nothing comparied to my "distance relationships" ... I admired them from a distance ... I never dared to talk to them directly but only from a distance thru anonymous phone calls to some of them ... they wanted me to stay a distance away from them. SAD, SAD, SAD.

  6. Someone mentioned Winnie & gang as objects of crushes in those days. Anyone want to own up? LOL.

  7. MAYBE this entry need not be only from the boys. C'mon girls, it's been 33 years ... which guy(s) did you fancy back then?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Someone suggested a "Miss 1976" contest? Anyone game to start the ball rolling and make nominations of their favourite hotties of 1976?

    ReplyDelete
  9. It is a good suggestion. Perhaps the "girls" should start one at the same time and make a nominations of their favourite hotties of 1976?

After which we could crown Mr and Miss Popularity?

    ReplyDelete
  10. I nominate the lovely GJB trio ... think all the boys would know who I mean. he he he

    ReplyDelete
  11. Ahh, both a "Mr 1976" as well as a "Miss 1976" .. very good. What are the criteria? JL and GL, you lobbied for this post. You can set the rules :-)

    ReplyDelete
  12. Ha ha. GL is normally quite active on posting comments but somehow seems to have gone quiet on this one. Where are you Georgie boy??

    ReplyDelete
  13. heh heh heh. takut, lah. thought of writing many times but also embarrassed to. maybe will post something as Anon. LOL.

  14. I suggest the nominator include a 1 or 2 word description alongside each hottie nomination they make,
eg. Leopold - hunky, Veronika - mysterious
(deliberately using names which I think do not occur in our cohort .. apologies if I'm wrong)

  15. SHY, GEORGE? RATHER UNLIKE YOU ... HE HE HE

  16. What can I say.....wait until the girls seen this blog. They will either be giggling or fuming but may start to compare notes and contribute. Would it not be obvious if anyone start nominating either the boys or girls will automatically means they somehow "fancy" the nominated at some point? Hey, KC, it is not that I had been round a bit but I was being honest about my feelings. Personally I think most of the girls are lovely. What about naming those that you want to avoid!!!. This will be someting to think about as well. LOL. Come on George, you were the handsome one, you must have lots to contribute. Btw, I dare not let my missus see this blog!!!. PC already blackmailing me to show or mention this to my missus when we do meet up.

  17. For the beautiful girls of 1976, I nominate Christina Tan [one year our senior from St Teresa] and Nancy Ng [two years our junior, I think]. I heard Nancy is now in NZ. I have not been in contact with either one since 1976 but still remember them. :-)

  18. John, I don't know how you keep the blog from your missus. Mine regularly checks it for the latest posts and enjoys it almost as much as I do. Hahahaha. So guys, be mindful that whatever you post is for everyone to see, including our spouses. Let's not start any civil war. Hahaha.

  19. During our F3 days, there was this STS girl one year younger than us. Long hair, dark mysterious eyes, and the most seductive smile (like I was an expert on seductive at that age :-). We used to speak for hours on the phone. Went out only once. Anyway she left Kuching and I was depressed for a while.

  20. I msut admit I enjoy this blog so much. My children are happy for me as they see me smile everytime I get on. As for the missus, she just laughs and shakes her head.
I wonder those who have family members have similar experiences?

  21. Go back to "A 1970s Musical Playlist" and enjoy the song, JK!
I think Web Jaga knows what I mean!

  22. I remember when a few of us were doing our form 6 overseas at a boy school which had boys & girls in sixth form (like st joe), one of my friends was very taken by a blonde hair, blue eyed girl, in the class one year below us. i can't recall her name except it started with an A. i think they went out for over a year. I wonder if my friend still remembers & if they kept in touch later.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh yes, CLK, my wife walks into our study, takes a look at me and say, 'you're reading the blog again and I know cos you've got that grin on your face.'

Yep, my whole family notices that Dad seems to be constantly smiling when he is at the computer nowadays. It probably adds a year or two to our lives, huh, JK?

    ReplyDelete
  24. CLK, yes she might laugh and shakes her head for now. Wait till we dish the dirt on you and then you can tell us what happens next, eh?

Annonymous 9.05, yeah i also have a friend who fancy a blonde called Alison. Hmmm.... wonder if it is the same guy.

George, It is the quality of life that matters most. So just keep smiling and grinning. Any added years will be a bonus.

  25. I suppose when we were boys we seems not be able to see the pretty things near to us. John used to live in this house in Rubber Rd west. John's at one end - the other end lived a STS girl of our same year. Her dad drove a this Merc numbered K? 6060. Anyway, "they" are nearer than you think. There's another one from our class who lived even closer, just next door to her. Why look so far?

I knew of someone in our class who was very determine for someone next door and finally achieved his quest 5 years later by just only talking of his dream so that he built up enough courage for the final assault at his neighbor's fence. He succeed! He is an accountant too.

There goes the say: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"

  26. KCK - I guess those who have sons need to teach them to look near and far for beautiful things.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Back in 1976, there was a young STS songbird named CCF, two or three years our junior, who was quite lovely to look at.

However, won't be able to answer your 2nd question. cheers.
