Breakfast with CSKG

Met up with my former classmate Christopher Sim Kay Guan, together with his wife & son for breakfast this morning. They were in Singapore for a few days, enroute to Kuching for a break. It's been many years since I saw him ... probably the previous time was in Form 5 in 1976.




We had a good long chat about old times, and tried to recall where different former classmates and friends were based. I remember Kay Guan in school. He was very active in the Red Cross as well as in various sports. I believe he was a very good high jumper, even representing the school.

Kay Guan has been an executive with Shell for quite a number of years. He was based in Sarawak most of those years but recently has been posted to Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan.

Later I saw them off to the airport.

    Wow...no change at all, except the hair colour. Like your white/grey dye..ha ha

    wow and hi SKG, is white hair the trend now? i thought PC & HBC were the trend-setters.

    Always nice to see old friends meeting up again after such a long hiatus.Btw, Roney is the leading trend setter.

    Thanks for passing my contact to JL. Received her e-mail yesterday. Where are those Shell people from? We are a real big global organisation and I don't even know all the staff working inside PD Refinery.

    JL was very very happy!! Do you know Heidi Gan is her daughter? The girl who is going to swim the English Channel in 2010? Dr Lennard Lee who broke the record swim of 9 hours and 45 mins is her nephew?

    Alice, Douglas Kok's wife, De W, Augustine. PK's husband-can't remember his name and not to mention AM! These guys are/were in Shell Miri.Small world, you may know them..

    Didn't know JL's daughter is a swimmer until she e-mailed me. Guess she's busy bringing her daughters for swimming trainings and competitions overseas & also in M'sia. Next she'll be in Laos for the SEA game.

    I'm lousy at remembering names. May know one or two of them if I see the faces.
