  4. Great pictures WJ, thanks for the reminders. can't remember all except the face on the monument. This is infront of the old Court House.

  5. WJ pics are just as colurful as the paints in Kuching. Would it be possible to have some street shots and see whether we can remember them. I thought Kuching town was much bigger in the old school days.

  9. Leo is mostly correct ... though I'm not sure it actually is Rentap or just a generic Dayak warrior.

I also didn't know (3) was called Jalan Borneo. I just know it as the road in front of Hilton Kuching ;-)

  11. WJ,

I was posting the answers under duress cos the family was pressing me to shut down as all were waiting for me to go out for dinner.....

Secondly, someone could have expanded on my suggested answers and had home advantage!!

So he doesnt deserve a prize!! Haha!!

Suggest we have second challenge?? and post answers thro e-mail?

  12. haha, now now now CLKien, there is a secret to getting the correct answers. It is all here. If you know how. But I keeping that secret for myself. Hehe.

  13. Wow you know i am talking about you and are still burning the midnight oil!!

  14. I think I made it too easy this round. The next time, the camera angles will be even more unusual and less obvious. And I think I know the "secret" our friend is talking about. It won't happen again.

  15. Lee Kien, as you recently went to Kuching, I'm expecting a bumper crop of photos from you & your Nikon soon, ya?

  17. Kuching residents should be disqualified from guessing ...

    ReplyDelete
  18. Lee Kien, did not you are talking about me... cos I am resident in Miri and not the one with 'home advantage'. Thus qualified according to GL. Haha.
Anway, I let the cat of the bag and WJ is not letting it happen again.

  19. What's the secret? I don't see any tip-off in the photos.

  20. George,

Its probably from the angles WJ took. For the 1st picture he should cut off the building on the right.

5th picture he should focus and take only the warrior

    ReplyDelete
  21. Lee Kien, scratching your head to no avail. Haha.
George, don't bother knowing the secret as WJ knows what I am talking about and won't happen again.
    Leo

BTW WJ, I cannot post comments under the Name/URL option. Any idea/suggestions?

  22. GL,
Leo was with WJ when the photos were taken during their meeting in Kuching.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ah ha! That's called cheating. Leo, you are disqualified!!! LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hey no. WJ, please clear me or else I will engage a the legal firm of GLo & Partners to defend me.
    Leo

    ReplyDelete
  25. Leo,

Too bad WJ is not a lawyer so he is not qualified to defend you and you are being qualified!! Hehe Accept defeat and surrender lah....

    ReplyDelete
  26. Just to get Leo off the hook .. no, he wasn't with me when I took the photos. I might as well reveal the "secret" we are referring to, since I'll be making sure it doesn't happen again in future.

If you tried to save some of the pictures onto your PC (by using right-click mouse button),the filename often gives a strong clue of the location of the shot. An oversight on my part :-(

  27. Leo,

Ok lah Leo we are back at sqaure 1.

    So WJ, next challenge???

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh, that is the secret. I sure did not know it. Thanks WJ (for nothing though hehe).

    ReplyDelete
  29. Tks for the clues WJ.
    Your 'right click' reveals:
    1. IMG_0414
    2. MerdekaPalace
    3. View_from_Above
    4. LYK
    5. CBM
    6. EHView
Hmmm.... except for 2. MerdekaPalace, the rest are not sufficiently strong clues IMHO.
    Cheers.
    I shall be anon. haha.

  30. I thought that was revealing enough ... If you had another "secret", Leo, I dunno what it can be!

  31. WJ,

He probably drove round Kuching Town the whole weekend!! After all, Kuching "say say niah", right Leo? Hehe!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Lee Kien, correct say say Kuching. But then I drove around the even more 'say say Miri' over the weekend. Hehe.
