Return to Eng Seng

Last Friday, we brought Ben, his wife Mei Ling & son Calvin for dinner at Eng Seng Restaurant, off Still Road in the Katong area of Singapore.

We needed to come early. This place is HOT ! If you arrive after 5pm, expect to queue up for your table.

They prepare a variety of seafood dishes. However the specialty of this place is most definitely the Pepper Crab.

We enjoyed both Pepper and Chilli Crabs. With white bread to "chelok" the sauce, of course. And we also ordered Noodles, Vegetables & Yue Teow.

What could be better? Good food with good friends ...

  6. Yes!!! I must say Eng Seng crab is the bestest we have ever tasted.WJ fetch us at 4 and I thought it was really early for dinner....We reached there about 4.25 and there were only 2 tables occupied. We ordered our food and the crowd started to build up and by 5 all the tables were taken up....5.15 you can see the queue at the 5 foot way and there is also another a queue for ta pau not shown in the picture. Notice the clock on the wall and mind you the clock was 15 mins faster, which means the actual time was 4.46 then.
When in Spore MUST go for Eng Seng crab and ABC Ah Seng at Permata Kuching is no way close to ES.
Thanks again to WJ for taking us there and belanja us .....
