Message from Website Jaga (Dec 2009)

Dear friends,
Firstly at the close of 2009, I felt it's timely to take stock of the reconnection status for our Class of 1976, since this was the primary objective of my creating this blog.

While we had almost 70 boys attending the Grand Reunion last week, we have actually reconnected with many more individuals - like those who could not attend for various reasons, but had been contacted via email or mobile phone.

So the following chart shows how many we have reached ...

Secondly I need to inform you guys that I've had to slightly change the way comments are posted onto this blogsite. Previously your comments were posted instantly after you entered them and clicked on "Post Comment". However, as we have seen some mischievious or malicious individuals (who I'm sure are NOT from the Class of 1976 or 1974) who're constantly trying to put unkind comments on this site, leading to my having to delete them from time to time, I've now configured it such that the comments go into a temporary area where I have a chance to check the comments first, and if it is malicious, I won't allow it to be published. I'm sure all of you agree that this blogsite is for friendly chats, sharing of memories and reconnecting old friends, and not for causing hurt or anger by stupid and insulting remarks.

Festive wishes to all
--- James

We log on to enjoy the reconnetions and share wonderful memories, topics and events. The last thing we want is for minority(1?)to insult any of us...

  4. Thank you all for your support.

I have a feeling my number for 5Arts1 is a little under-stated (ie. too low). So I'd invite those who know to look thru the list of Form 5Arts1 boys (see the full list in the Jan '09 posting) and verify if actually more had been connected. I'd love to be proven wrong this once & will gladly correct the chart.

  5. Can we have Bollywood pole dancing next time please. WJ, don't worry about the 2 or 3 people with ideas of their own.

    Thanks..

  6. I completely agree with and support your decision, Jimmy. We don't need some retard to gate-crash our beloved blog and post some vile remarks for his own cheap thrill.

  7. Hey, James

You ARE the Website Jaga and you are absolutely right to vet all postings, I suppose the only downside is who is going to do it when you are busy or away. I am sure you have thought this over.

Regarding the contributions from the Class of Form 5 Arts1, although there are a significant number who somehow got to know or connected in whatever means about the website, they might not have made as many contributions as the other classes or may have signed off as Anons or as other colourful names.

So come on guys, if you are from Arts1 and has been signing in as Anons, it is time to reveal yourself and to those who are only reading and too "shy" to contribute - don't worry about that, just put down what's in your mind, no matter how short or how "silly" you may think your comments might be. Like the old saying goes - "Life's too short". Spread the word!!!!!

  8. Well, seems that some sicko is keeping the webjaga on his toes and ensures that he earns his keep.
And our poor WJ has to be like the those jagas at the banks and sleep light.
Well WJ, you definitely have our support to keep these sickos at bay and a good job have been done I must say. A cheap thrill the retard (re: george's comments) will not get.

  10. I agree totally,WJ and may I say that you have done such great service to all of us by starting and maintaining this great blog. I am very proud of my form 5 mates who have from their comments/contributions on the blog shown themselves to be well informed, having a great sense of community and that thing that does it for me every time I visit - a great sense of humour!!! :-) PT aka SM.

  16. I suppose 'Sabun King' will be back in his true true real real name when EVERYBODY agrees to use their own real real name.
