  2. Hi....James

Thanks for this excellent work. I hope to pay a regular visit to see if it catches on and see which one of our classmates do keep in touch on this blog.

  5. I noticed this Visitor Book hasn't been used for a while, so I will contribute a little. Perhaps others will follow me. I'm not from your Form 5 class of 76, but I am also Josephian from several years before you. I just wanted to say this is a great blog, and more Josephians should learn from it, and perhaps create their own blogs for their own classes. Childhood friends are the truest friends.

  6. Well said,Fred.I think the Visitors' Book is more 4 people who have just found us. U don't have to be from Form 5 class of '76, Josephian, Kuchingite or S'wakian to join in. Check the d other sub sections for more current posts, although some of the "in" jokes r more personal. Welcome!

  7. Hi, fantastic blog topic and nicely presented too. My big bro Philip Chin mentioned it to me, so now you have me hooked as of yesterday. I've lived in the US for a decade, therefore all things Kuching are wonderful and precious to me. I was in St Teresa from kindie thru Form 5 (1990) & St Joseph Form 6 (1991-2). Those were the days, my friend. We thought they'd never end. - hey my song lyrics are getting as dated as I am! :)

  9. Hi Folks of St Joe's esp class of 76:

My eldest bro Ambrose Chong was in 76 F5.ArtsI & rugby player. My second bro Vincent Chong was in 78 F5.SC1 - hockey player. I (Clement Chong) was in 82 F4.SC1 - athletics capitan @inter-schools. Ambrose's a manager in Macqurie University, Sydney. Vincent is Snr IT programmer in a major bank, Sydney. I work as IT consultant on project, currently in Melbourne.

We're second generation Josephians as my late father Augustine Chong was a student in early 50's. He was actively involved in St Joe's Centenary celebration 1982. I was glad to be in the musical play "Joseph & technicolor coat" during the garnd closing night of Centenary celebrations.

And the fun/sweats when drilling up for the inter-school athletics meet under the watchful eyes of Bro Mark.."more, some more !!"

My last association with St Joe's was 1992, attending the 110 yrs celebrations. Holy Molly Bro. Columba remembered my name "Clement - glad to see you back in Kuching !" Wonder if he ever needs USB drive for backup as his memory runs faster than Intel Centrino 2.8G :)

Thanks James & others for the effort to rekindle the spirits/value of St'Joe's, an awesome tradition which I hope to pass on to my children..

    Cheers
    Clement Chong
    82 F4 SC1
81 Captain of B Division Athletics Team
