  7. Ben Wong brought along a blood pressure monitor and we all tested our BP. Everyone's was elevated above their norm.

Dr Kuo attributed the rise to the excitement of the reunion. He reckoned that our BP would be back to normal after a shower and a rest. See? We got some medic advice for free. LOL.

In fact, the BP of the good doctor himself was a bit high too - methinks he was feeling high with the good turnout to meet him.

JK, Khim, Pip (plus his cousin Lucas and wife), my son Nigel and I went to Foody Goody to eat the famous laksa. Pip had kueh chap with 'extra spare parts' - brave man LOL.

Too full to eat by the time we got to Ipoh Kopitiam but the laksa was worth it. Ever tried crispy eu cha kueh dipped in laksa? Yummm!! Saturated fats combined with transfats - lucky we had a heart surgeon with us and he told us to go ahead and enjoy!

  9. Hi...guys
Sorry I was unable to attend or join in the virtual chat. Looks like you all had a great get-together. I hope there are more photos to come (with names please as some of you are unrecognisable, some of us have not met for more than 30 years, although some like Johnny Tan or Robert Chin still look very young). The food sounds good at this place.

PS: Best wishes to you Pip on your birthday. What a nice time to celebrate it, great!!!.

  10. Happy Birthday Pip!
I did not know, I asked whose birthday it was, but nobody answered me.

It was a fantastic day for me as I saw and spoke with lots of you..Wilson, Bob, Robert, Jude, Ben, Ngiam, Poi Jin, George. I am so happy to have seen and spoken with many of you for the first time since 76!
I am sure we will meet in person next year.
Thank you Leo for the web cam, and George for the organisation for this reunion with James Kuo.Great job!

  11. It was JK who whispered to me [during breakfast at Foody Goody] that it was Pip's birthday yesterday and asked me to go get a cake for our good friend. JK later disclosed that one of his daughter's birthday is same as Pip's.

Credit must go to Ben Wong who did most of the groundwork in contacting all the guys. I heard that he even called Sinos in Siem Reap to get the contact of Justin Jinggut but unfortunately our good Datuk did not turn up.

It was good to see all the guys again. Hope someone gets going with organising the reunion ... or was that the REUNION? :-)
