A couple of nights ago, nine guys met for dinner at
Topspot @ Permata Carpark. in Kuching. I believe they ordered from ABC Seafood. What's that I hear you say? What was the occasion? Huh? Do fifty-year olds need an occasion to eat, drink and be merry? Looking at these pictures, obviously not .... although I do believe the guest-of-honour for the evening might be our good buddy Sinos Bartholomew, back on vacation from sunny Siem Reap.
Not even finished eating, and Bob's eyes are straying already ...
Nobert in deep focus on the food, while Georgie boy and Robert salivate ?
Better than amok fish, Tuan Sinos?
Crabalicious competition to Eng Seng in Singapore ????
Burp .. just look at the blissful grins ...
Hope you're having a good vacation, Tuan Sinos !
Hi Sinos, pity unablke to meet. last we met when I went to see you at Bank Utama at Jln Hj Taha. Enjoy the time back in Kuching.

Honestly i believed that the crab at ABC cannot beat Eng Seng Spore....even from the pictures of Eng Seng crab it looks ....deliciousssss.The crab or food at ABC has jatoh standard lah sure kalah...la.But the company was fantastic lah ....no others in the world can beat us on that, right bros?
ReplyDeleteHi Guys!!

Dear All,
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you gathered together at Top-Spot and feasting....eyes or food...they's got a good balance of everything..nice & cool.
I do have a soft spot for Top-Spot though...especially ABC Seafood stall...reminds me of my teen days...and one of my favourite all-time hits by Terry Jacks.."Seasons In The Sun"..."..Goodbye to you my trusted friend...we've known each other since we were nine or ten...together we've climded hills and tress...Learnt of love and "ABCs"....( you..see...ABC...)hehehehe
Have to thank WSite Jaga (James Yong)..for doing a fantastic job...perhaps a recognition is in order at our Reunion - "awards nite" And of course, to everyone who chipped in with comments, wise or otherwise...and photos...photogenic or organic...( no pun intended )
The ceasless threads and comments...do make our blogg so unique in its own way..and bring us all closer together...
"74043" hits at this point of time....GREAT !!!
Someone once commented..."age does not matter..as long as the matter does not age."
Hopefully more of our ex-Teresians sisters will join the bandswagon and give their comments...photos much appreciated...badly...
Of course, at our age...priorities may have changed....but some values will never die...and friendship is definitely one of them. Values that will withstand the test of time...Keep it coming...
Know what ?....other Josephians..also mentioned our Grand Reunion....so envious of us!
Others commented that they have either "World Cup" or "Olympics" reunion...every 4 years...
So if you hear a couple mentioning that they are having "Olympic" or "World Cup" sex....don't get unduly excited...only happens once every 4 years !! ( pardon me for touching on this subject....no offence meant though )
Cheers and may you have a Blessed and Fruitful Friday...and a great week-end.

where is this Topspot guys? I never been back cat town for 10 yrs. a bit lost la.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun time, guys. Keep it up!!!!
ReplyDeleteEdmund ELAS, practice, practice and practice....make sure u simpan some of your jokes for the 'Mother of All Reunion'. U got crab jokes or not?
ReplyDeleteFor all infos, Topspot is located on the top of Pemata Carpark at Jalan Padungan, behind former Odean, behind OCBC bank, behind row of shophouses fronting new hotel 'Pullman'. I heard the place will be closed for a few mths soon for renovation works, which I will let you all know or else some would be very disappointed when they get up there to find nothing to eat!
ReplyDeleteDear Anon,
ReplyDeleteThanks...am practising..and walking sideways after hearing your request for Crab jokes.
Frankly, I feel more at home with human jokes...Underwater jokes sound funnier in a submarine...and we can drown in laughter. hehehe !!!
Seafood contains high levels of cholesterol...telling Crab jokes may raise our cholesterol to dangerous levels. We still need to be around for the next reunion, crab or no crab.
But regular consumption of crabs can enhance one's relationship with family and friends...there's always this urge to walk side-by-side...and pinching each other affectionately.
Enough of the crab,,or is it crap ?
Cheers !!!

I saw someone dipping into the ambal too. Eng Seng got ambal or not? Belacan midin?
ReplyDeleteAmbal or sambal?
ReplyDeleteAmbal - the bamboo shell. Topmost pic, bottom right corner...u can see someone dipping his chopstick in it.
ReplyDeleteAmbal, cooked in curry powder and serai, as shown in pix. can also steam with brandy n ginger, season shell fish. Midin, can cook with red wine n garlic. also can cook with belacan but the latest method of preparing midin is 'ulam' with pound dried shrimps and cili and little belacan paste. Mmmmm.... yamyam.Wanna try? Midin has already found its way into restaurants here in Kuching and most eating places lo. 1 kg cost round RM6+ Any of you tried 'Paku' before? It's a type of wild fern.
ReplyDeleteEdmund AS lee at Nov6 @ 8.15pm, u sure do have lots of crap jokes..they really make me laugh. i should associate with u more as i looove your kind of crab jokes. i enjoyed em each time but (like u said) watch out, i might end up pinching u affectionately! hahaha.
ReplyDeleteGeez, this eating must be hard work. Poor Norbert has to wipe the sweat off his brow. LOL
ReplyDeleteYa lor James, when having cilli hot dishes hor, I tend to sweat ma, the crab was fried in black pepper so 'hiam hiam' lor. They should have provided me with a piece of cloth to tie on my head ho? ELAS jokes sure makes us 'grow' younger la, lots of it may drop us to the floor laughing and giggling! Might not end up pinching him but might end up biting him lovingly. hehehe
ReplyDeleteSo what are the specialties of Topspot, guys?
ReplyDeleteDear KCH boys,

I hope to abe able to return this treat, one fine day in the near future.. Thanks again.
So, rumnour is rumour after all...they predicted that snow will fall in Malaya on 20-11-09 !!... So ada snow kah?
Here in Cambodia is the beginning of our short winter season. Temperature is around 15-20 degrees celcius..Nice, breezy & cool.. but normally it will last for only 2 weeks at the most...what a pity.. Best time of the year in Cambodia!!
Bonne weekend.
Is there a chance Cambodia and Thailand will start fighting over the Thaksin issue ?
ReplyDelete"president-in-wait"....Mr.Sinos should give better insight....when H.Sen and Taksin
ReplyDeletemigrate to Hawaii...maybe Sinos could arrange for Class"76 to take over cambodia when things are ripe??
No fighting la boys, they are all grown up and matured man already. Kecit kecit punya hal so small problem la. Big shots don't simply fight over small issues right Mr. Sinos?
