AW visiting Perth

.
I received a note from Alfred Wong on his recent visit to Perth ...

Dear James,
.
I had the great opportunity to meet up with two of our Form 5 Science classmates in Perth last night, Kevin Chin and Philip Tang. I have not met them since I left SJS 33 years ago and it was pleasant to catch up with them again after all these years.
.
Even though I have been coming to Perth regularly to visit my two children, I didn't manage to contact Kevin and Philip until this trip (thanks BC for the email contacts).
.
It's great to see that the guys are looking fit and doing well professionally. Kevin works for the Australian Goverment and has three children. Like me, two of the children are doing undergraduate studies in UWA. Kevin has been in Perth for 22 years while Philip has never left after graduating from UWA. Philip is a research engineer with a local company.
.
I have uploaded a few pictures of the mini reunion to share with you. Once again, thank you Kevin and Philip for the meet-up and hope to see you guys again next trip!

Good to see another reconnection, many years in the making.

Best wishes to all of you.

  3. Nice to see the three of them looking so happy.

Any more mini-reunion Down Under in future?

  4. Extra lady could be older sister of Betty Leong Wong?

  5. Still looking great guys! Could be the weather down under.

By the way, Kevin, there are several Sacred Heart boys migrated to Perth. Philip Tang (former manager of Ngui Kee, Sarawak) now a manager of a supermarket in Perth. The other I know is Leong Chiew Chiong (CC) with his own audit firm.

Kevin, hope to meeting you one day.

    Cheers

  6. Thanks to Alfred for making the initial contact to meet up with Philip and myself. It was great to see him again after all these years. We spent a good few hours reminiscing over old times at dinner at Wong's Asian Cuisine (no, not owned by Alfred). In addition to our respective better halves, we were joined by Bettie's brother, Edmund, and his wife, Jenny (hence the fourth lady). As Alfred comes to Perth frequently, there'll be more opportunities to meet in the future.

Gerard, can't say I know any of the people you mentioned though it's curious that there's a second Philip Tang from Sarawak in Perth (then again, there are a few Kevin Chins here as well). If you should be in Perth, don't hesitate to get in touch.

  7. Identity of 4th lady revealed.
Seems like KC's skills as an Investigator with ASIC came in handy here.
