Most of us will either have turned or will be turning 50 this year. What a milestone! Happy birthday to all!
..
There was a great suggestion from some of you that we share a photo or short videoclip of this momentous "Hawaii 50" birthday celebration. Whether big or small, elaborate or simple, at home or outside, with family or friends (or both), it doesn't really matter. Just send me one or two shots or clips of how you celebrated the occasion and I'll include it in this posting.
..
Have a great day. Be happy and live your life to the fullest. As the old saying goes: What's important is not the years in your life, but the life in your years.
The "Hawaii 50" Celebrations
Younger viewers may not understand the significance of the "Hawaii 50" reference. Suffice it to say that it was a very popular TV show in the 70s with an unforgettable theme music. Boys, for old times sake, I'll let you the music transport you back to your teenage years again.

ReplyDeletesay, have you guys seen the FISH tank at the bottom of the screen? just move your mouse over the water and watch ...
ReplyDeleteha ha ha ... good for de-stressing or when bored
ReplyDeleteIt all depend on how you interpret it. I was watching it with my collegue and he said it's like 7 male fishes going after the 1 female ??????
ReplyDeleteKopi
Similar behaviour as St Joe F5(76) boys perhaps??? LOL
ReplyDeletejust a reminder though....don't forget to feed the fish before you go off...Just position your cursor in the water area and click..click...click..the fish will swim towards the food and "chomp..chomp..chop.."
ReplyDeletewho says rearing fish is expensive...it's cheap..just a "click click here and a click click there.."
"Nien Nien Yu Eee"...
Cheers !!!!
Edmund.
Don't let the fishies distract you too much, boys!!! Remember to send in your birthday pics!

Was it Francis or Patrick Ampau? He was the chap with the racing bike and dressed stylish in school right?
ReplyDeleteYes , It's Patrick Ampau I am referring about. Where is he now ?
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to the birthday boys, Edward. Dato Anthony and James.
ReplyDeleteRegards
John
Hello kawan,
ReplyDeleteMike Francis Umpau, the most stylo classmate of ours, rode a Raleigh 14 gear racing bike from Kanowit. Son of a former minister but a normal happy and easy-going guy.
Last time, I met him was at Carlmelite church, KCH during Good Friday many years back & also the 1st time I met our Vietcong Nick Lau.
Heard Mike Umpau is with the Medical Dept., Kanowit. Can someone send a tracer & wake him up so that he could join us on the blog plse? I think Ah Loot , Ben or Robert Chin could do that faster & effectively too.
Mike Umpau, Hilson Tambi, Ricardo Gunter where are you boys?
Do keep in touch.
Sinos
Sinos, ur memory bery bery gud lah. U remember Ricardo Gunter also. Wat u makan in Cambodia? must be gud for the brain.
ReplyDeleteAnthony
Happy 50th Birthday to all SJS 76ers.

Sayang enggak nyobain Laksa Sarawak di rumah kamu Lebaran yg baru lalu ini!
Happy Birthday, Dato' Anthony. Have a great bash & don't forget to send in a picture or two.
ReplyDelete--- James
hehehe..tq anon. The long hairs are gone....or rather receding, save on barber shop expense...the curls would look ridiculous on a sparse scalp...so save on reduced shampoo now...tapi ganteng nya masih ganteng...hahaha..agik idup agik ngelaban wai...
ReplyDelete50 years and still kicking...some would wish we are 25 waist downwards but that's wishful thinking...anyway we celebrate every moment we are still alive and breathing! 25, 50, 75?..just multiples...hehehe
Bener juga. Ganteng masih tetep ganteng dan penampilannya lebih mateng sekarang.
ReplyDeleteKok, jarang muncul di teve lagi sejak tuker karir?
I'd say 50 is just a measurement for a person's wisdom. Happy Birthday Datuk A, James, Robert and all birthday boys of September.
ReplyDeleteSeptember birthday boys are Libra, right?
ReplyDeletewhen you turn 50, you think you hv the wisdom of a 75yr old neck upward, the heart and passion of a 50yr old waist upward and the virility of a 25 yr old waist downward. unfortunately the 75 yr old head and the 25 yr old groin cant communicate...so nothing happen la...aiyooo
ReplyDeleteSo sad Anon 1:57 AM ... maybe need the little blue pills la!
ReplyDeleteIt's even sadder when you consider that poor Anon 1:57am is sitting there in the middle of the night contemplating the lack of communication between his head and his groin ... LOL!
ReplyDeletehai guys, birthday me oredi passed lo, ie 5th june. anyway, selamat ari jadi to all la, past, present n soon.
ReplyDeleteAnon 1.57am Sept 29..
ReplyDeleteMaybe WJ can teach you a thing or two re-the Art of Reconnecting...
Mr NLiew, kalau ada photo pun boleh post. Just kirim ke WJ lah !
ReplyDeletehello! 3 classes of around 40 boys each. where are all the birthday pictures??????
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, James...nice to see you and your wife..it's funny that all of us are the same boat...ie the 50 mark whether we're ready for if or not ...have a great prosperous 50 & beyond.
